To ensure employee safety and provide clear expectations during severe weather events, production and office will follow emergency levels issued by the County Sheriff's Office.
  1. Emergency Level 3
    1. If a Level 3 Emergency is issued in Erie County, the plant will plan for closure.
    2. If a Level 3 is issued before the start of your shift in
Erie County, or a county you live in or must travel through to report to work you will not be required to report to work.
    3. No attendance points will be issued in this situation.
    4. Employees may request Vacation Time or Medical/Calamity Days to cover missed hours, if desired.
  1. Emergency Level 2
    1. If a Level 2 Emergency is issued, the plant will remain open, and all departments are expected to operate.
    2. If you are unable to report to work due to weather conditions, we understand and want you to prioritize your safety; however:
      1. Attendance will generally be documented according to policy.
      2. In rare circumstances, a tardy or absence may be excused without attendance points if the Director of Manufacturing and HR Business
Partner jointly determine that weather conditions are extremely severe, even though no Level 3 was issued.
        * This decision will not be made until after the inclement weather concludes.
Reminder - Employee safety is our priority.
Please use good judgment when traveling in severe weather and communicate with your Manager as early as possible if weather may impact your ability to report to work.
Inclement Weather - Frequently Asked Questions
